In what was the battle for the top spot in the 3A Big 8 conference, the Lady Chargers from Northwood came up short against the Tigers from Chapel Hill. Northwood lost 61-45 and is now 6-2 in conference play while Chapel Hill improves to 8-0.
The Lady Chargers jumped out to an early 6-0 lead in this contest but at the end of the first quarter Chapel Hill led 9-16. Northwood’s Kristian Eanes was in foul trouble early which disrupted the rhythm a little bit and some close range shot attempts for the Chargers didn’t fall which frustrated the girls. Shontai Totten led the way with 21 points, Kristian Eanes had 8, and Bryn Aydt had 7 for the Lady Chargers. For Chapel Hill Raziyah Farrington scored 16 points and Jessica Wall had 12.
