Hackney’s twenty-two point senior night leads Lady Jets past Cummings

Jordan-Matthews’ varsity girls basketball team has won four of its last five games as it nears the end of the 2015-2016 regular season. On Tuesday the Lady Jets defeated Cummings 48-24 behind the twenty-two points of senior Az’Hia Hackney. They travel to Reidsville on Thursday to wrap up the regular season and hope to avenge an earlier loss to the Rams.

The varsity boys played in a much closer contest in the last game of the evening. J-M led 51-46 late in the game but lost 55-53 after a last second shot by Cummings.
